SUMMARY:Primary Prevention Meeting
DESCRIPTION: The meeting on Primary Prevention, co-chaired by Matti Aapro, President of European Cancer Organisation and Rui Medeiros, President of European Cancer Leagues, aimed to share existing initiatives, so that this existing work can be amplified and collaborations explored beyond our Prevention Network.\nDuring the consultation period on Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, we held many discussions with organisations working in oncology, cardiology and other areas of healthcare. These conversations followed a meeting held with the EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, last year where we agreed that it was extremely important that Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan brings together the excellent existing work of many stakeholders to improve public health.
