Marzia Zambon joined EUROPA DONNA – The European Breast Cancer Coalition at the beginning of 2020 as External Affairs Director and was appointed Executive Director in February 2021.
She is responsible for all EUROPA DONNA advocacy initiatives in the areas of information, education and lobbying. Marzia represents Europa Donna on the Board of the EBC Council which organises the biennial European Breast Cancer Conferences (EBCC) along with partners EORTC and EUSOMA.
She manages Europa Donna’s involvement in research projects and represents ED on a number of advisory panels and participates in breast cancer international working groups and committees.
Marzia represents EUROPA DONNA in many joint projects with other European organisations such ECO, EPF, ABC Global Alliance, the WECAN group, ESO, EUSOBI and multistakeholder initiatives such as TBCT.
Marzia advocates at meetings and information sessions at the European Parliament and is actively involved in projects with the European Commission. At the start of the COVID pandemic, she oversaw Europa Donna’s transition to online platforms to carry out the Coalition’s work and has implemented monthly online roundtables to secure regular interaction and support to our fora.
Marzia is a frequent speaker on patient advocacy at international meetings and conferences.
