Marcia Cross

Marcia Cross is best known for her role as Bree Van de Kamp on the ABC hit series Desperate Housewives for which she was nominated for three Golden Globes and one Primetime Emmy.  

A graduate of The Juilliard School, she began her career doing plays at The Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Hartford Stage Company as well as the The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego where she was cast as Viola in Twelfth Night and Silvia in Two Gentlemen of Verona. Cross also starred in the television series Melrose Place and the critically acclaimed Everwood. She portrayed President Claire Haas on Quantico, was featured in the YouTube red series Youth and Consequences recurred on THIS CLOSE on the Sundance Channel and can be heard on the New York Times podcast Modern Love, where she reads the beautiful story, “Could We Try Again?” Last summer she made her Off-Broadway debut in the new play, “Pay the Writer.

Marcia has also become a fierce advocate in the fight against HPV related cancers. Her primary work has been to educate the public on the virus and the cancers it can cause. Her own diagnosis and treatment of anal cancer inspired her to help others by eradicating the shame that often occupancies this cancer. She is on the board of The HPV Alliance, a new organization commited to better prevention and treatment of HPV related cancers.
