Amil Družić

Amil Družić is a medical doctor specializing in oncology and radiotherapy at the Oncology Clinic of the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo. This year, he began a master’s program in Molecular Oncology in Madrid, focusing on precision oncology in cancer treatment. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively engaged in research, with his doctoral studies concentrating on advanced cancer therapies, particularly the combination of radiotherapy and systemic treatments.

Amil is the European Code Against Cancer (ECAC) ambassador for Bosnia and Herzegovina, working to raise awareness about cancer prevention. His notable initiatives include leading a national campaign to raise awareness of HPV vaccination and prevention of HPV-related cancers, which involved public education through webinars, video campaigns, and advocacy for policy changes to improve vaccination rates.

He is a member of the Young Cancer Professionals (YCP) network of the European Cancer Organisation (ECO) and an active member of ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology) and ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology). Through his collaboration with the European School of Oncology (ESO), he regularly participates in international educational programs and conferences in oncology.
