Dr Maria Pittaka born and raised in Nicosia Cyprus is an attending Clinical Oncologist at Nicosia General Hospital, State Health Services Onganisation. She graduated from the Medical school of Crete, Greece one of the most prestigious and higher education medical institutions in Greece.  She completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at the University Hospital of Patras, Greece whereas part of her residency was held on Addenbrookes University Hospital at Cambridge. On 2018 she received her MSc in Clinical leadership in Cancer, palliative and end of life care at the University of Southampton.  Since 2024 she is the Deputy Director of the Oncology Department at Nicosia General Hospital and since 2025, a scientific collaborator at The Cyprus University of Technology, Nursing School.
