Speaking on clinical research in breast cancer
Dr Ciruelos has made significant contributions to clinical research, particularly in the field of breast cancer treatment. She has played a key role in the PATRICIA Trial, which examines the use of a combination of palbociclib, trastuzumab, and endocrine therapy to improve outcomes for breast cancer patients. Her research also includes a meta-analysis focused on assessing the short-term risk of recurrence in patients with hormone receptor-positive (HER+), HER2-negative (HER2-) receiving endocrine therapy. This work aimed at optimizing treatment strategies and enhancing the ability to predict recurrence, ultimately improving patient care.
