Lynn Mara Schuchter

President, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)

Dr. Schuchter is chief of the Division of Hematology-Oncology at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania, director of the Tara Miller Melanoma Center at the Abramson Cancer Center, and the Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Professor of Clinical Oncology at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Schuchter is a clinical investigator in the area of melanoma and has a strong commitment to mentorship.  Dr. Schuchter served on the ASCO Board of Directors from 2009 to 2012. She has served on numerous ASCO committees, including terms as chair of Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committee, Cancer Research Committee, and Cancer Communications Committee, and as an editor on the Journal of Clinical Oncology Editorial Board. In 2019, she was recognised with the Hologic, Inc Endowed Women Who Conquer Cancer Mentorship Award from Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation.
