Jorge Civera

Professor of Computer Science, Universitat Politècnica de València

Jorge Civera is an associate professor of computer science at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), where he received his PhD in 2008, and member of the Machine Learning and Language Processing (MLLP) research group in the Valencian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (VRAIN). He is co-author of more than 75 articles in international journals and conferences. He has been involved in more than 30 research projects and technology transfer contracts, leading 5 of them related to lowering the language barrier for Open Educational Resources (OER). His research interests include machine learning and its application to machine translation, and speech recognition, translation and synthesis for OER and media broadcasting.
