Danute Ražuka-Ebela MD PhD is the scientific coordinator of the TOGAS project and the principal investigator for Pilot Study 3.

She is a docent and researcher at the Institute of Clinical and Preventive Medicine at the University of Latvia, where she is also working with a number of other projects including the prevention of and screening for gastric cancer. 

She is also a consulting gastroenterologist, endoscopist and internist, as well as the Head of Research, Education & Innovations at the Centre for Digestive Diseases “GASTRO” in Riga, Latvia, where her research interests involve investigating new drug treatments and novel devices, endoscopic intervention and screening for precancerous conditions, and digital solutions with AI integration in healthcare.
