David Nelson

David Nelson is a Senior Research Associate at the UKRI E3 funded Lincoln Institute for Rural and Coastal Health (LIRCH), specialising in rural and coastal cancer care, policy, and research. His work focuses on addressing geographical inequalities in cancer outcomes and access to services. He is the Chair and Founder of PLACE (Place-based Action for Cancer Equity), a multi-nation research network working across the UK and Ireland to understand and tackle rural and coastal cancer inequalities. He previously worked at Macmillan Cancer Support as a Macmillan Research Fellow for over five years.
