Work Packages lead the outputs that are produced during the lifetime of an EU-funded project and detail the results of the project activities. Here you can follow the current status of iNTERVENE.
Work Package 1 - Project Management and Coordination
Leader: Cyprus University of Technology (CUT)
Work Package 1's role is to coordinate & manage internal communication; Ensuring deadlines and quality are met; main liaison with EU & HaDEA offices.
- To effectively monitor the project administratively, technically, scientifically and financially.
- To guarantee the work’s adherence to the overall project plans, available resources and timing.
- To offer the necessary interface to the EU services and external actors.
- To assure the high quality of the project outcomes.
- To identify project risks by performing effective risk management.
- To guarantee that all ethical and legal issues related to the project are being exhaustively and appropriately considered and any relevant conventions are being respected.
Work Package 2 - Current Status and Gaps in Health Literacy and iNTERVENE Database Generation
Leader: Servizo Galego de Saude (SERGAS)
Work Package 2 is developing systematic & scoping reviews for further use.
- Undertaking a Systematic Review on the role of health literacy in cancer prevention and care.
- Undertaking a Scoping Review of Health literacy education programmes developed within healthcare systems and in the community (Health Literacy Cancer Index).
- Extracting reliable and accurate information resources on the internet to create a database with empirically-evaluated/evidence-based resources – this will be presented as recommendations to users (i.e. guide) and will be accommodated within the iNTERVENE Health Literacy Hub.
Work Package 3 - End-Users and Stakeholders Perspectives on Health Literacy
Leader: Cyprus University of Technology (CUT)
Work Package 3 will develop the Living Lab; Blueprint for best practices Guidelines on projects on Health Literacy and Cancer Centres Assessment of Health Literacy Responsiveness. Within the Living Lab several actions will take place including:
- Needs and requirements in the context of health literacy and literacy on cancer prevention and care of end-users (citizens, patients and healthcare professionals) will be retrieved.
- Develop a blueprint on the generation and dissemination of evidence and best practices – guidelines in the context of health literacy in cancer prevention and care.
- Develop a guide of existing and ongoing projects on health literacy.
- Cancer Centres Assessment of Health Literacy Responsiveness.
Work Package 4 - iNTERVENE Health Literacy Hub and Training and Awareness Programe Development
Leader: Aristotelio Panepistimio Thessalonikis (AUTH)
Work Package 4 will develop the Health Literacy Hub, training programme, awareness materials and virtual library, which will involve:
- The development of the iNTERVENE Health Literacy Hub through a Design Thinking Approach.
- The development of the iNTERVENE Health Literacy Training Programme.
- The development of Health Literacy Awareness Materials (e.g., manuals for patients, leaflets, websites, videos to citizens/patients of all ages and healthcare professionals).
- The development of the Health Literacy Virtual Library on communication in cancer prevention and care.
Work Package 5 - Empowerment on Health Literacy Through Culturally Sensitive and Linguistic Appropiate Training (Piloting)
Leader: Universidade do Porto (U.Porto)
Work Package 5 will deploying and pilot the Hub & Library; delivering the educational training / Evaluation. Throughout their work, they will achieve:
- iNTERVENE Health Literacy Hub and “Virtual Library” deployment (HCP, Patients, Citizens) and high-level management and monitoring of piloting activities.
- iNTERVENE Educational Training (HCP, Patients, Citizens) delivered based on transcultural and linguistic principles (cultural awareness, cultural sensitivity, cultural competence, cultural knowledge).
- Piloting of the iNTERVENE Health Literacy Hub and Virtual Library and the iNTERVENE educational training programme.
- Evaluation of iNTERVENE Health Literacy Hub and iNTERVENE Health Literacy Training.
Work Package 6 - Awareness, Dissemination and Sustainability
Leader: European Cancer Organisation (ECO)
Work Package 6 is supporting the project throughout its completion, Additionally, this work package will:
- Rise project awareness.
- Design, develop and deliver a Cancer Health Literacy Day.
- Including a social media campaign
- Share project results in international journals and conferences.
- At least one clustering event with similar EU initiatives.
- Build the ecosystem and favouring engagement.
- Develop the sustainability strategy
