Jemma is a speciality registrar doctor in Breast Surgery in North West London and Clinical Research Fellow for the National Bowel Cancer Audit within the Clinical Effectiveness Unit at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She has recently completed her PhD at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The thesis involves the use of large routinely collected datasets to explore the use and outcomes of multimodal treatment for colorectal cancer, with a particular focus on systemic anti-cancer therapy. Through the NBOCA she is involved with a number of other projects including an international colorectal cancer collaborative. She has been involved with work evaluating the impact of COVID-19 on colorectal cancer care, and also work looking the volume-outcome relationship for rectal cancer.
