Jerome de Barros is a Policy Officer in the European Reference Networks and Digital Health unit at DG SANTE in the European Commission. His main area of focus is health data quality, especially as part of the European Health Data legal proposal and infrastructure for secondary use of health data.

Prior to joining the European Commission, he was the Data Driven Innovation Lead for Health & Care at the University of Edinburgh working, among other projects, on the set up of the DataLoch, a data service bringing together, and leveraging health and social care data for the South-East Scotland region.
