Katarina Fredriksson is an experienced project manager working within governmental projects related to improvements of the Swedish health care system. She has for the past 10 years worked at the Swedish National board for Health and Welfare and within the cancer care area for the past four years. She represents Sweden in the SGPP-sub group cancer, and is engaged in the implementation of the EU beating cancer plan in Sweden. She was recently responsible for the compilation of an overview of the cancer rehabilitation in Sweden. Several suggestions for improving the rehabilitation before, during and after cancer was given to improve the quality of life for Swedish cancer patients and their relatives. Katarina has also been engaged in projects concerning health care equality as well as centralisation of highly specialised care in Sweden. Katarina Fredriksson holds a master in biomedical laboratory sciences and a PhD in Anaesthesiology and intensive care from the Karolinska Institute of Sweden.
