Mehmet Ungan

Past-President, WONCA Europe, and Professor, Ankara University School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine

I am currently working in Turkey, as a Professor at Ankara University Department of Family Medicine with an associate professor, two assistant professors, two FM specialists and more than 27 residents in FM. I served as President of the WONCA Europe and as chair of EGPRN.

My postgraduate specialization and thesis were in Family Medicine. I was a founder and President of the Turkish Association TAHUD. I was certified in the Trainers’ Course in University of Exeter Postgraduate Medical School, UK (1993). I was involved in organizing conferences for WONCA and Egprn besides some web based training programs for the GPs. My research is in the field of Primary Care, Migrant Health, Mental Health (Burn-out), Patient Consultation, Clinical Medicine, Education, Prevention, International projects related to AIDS, Osteoporosis, European Research Agenda and HPV.
