Morgana Danielė

Member, Committee on Health Affairs, Lithuania

Morgana is a member of the Health Committee in the Seimas of Lithuania, the Chairwoman of the Addictions Commission, the Chair of the APPG on Reproductive Health and Rights and the Chair of the Interparliamentary Relations with Canada Group. She is also a member of Seimas Delegation to the Assembly of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Prior to becoming a member of the Seimas, for more than a decade Morgana had worked on drug policy and harm reduction, including rights of women who use drugs. In the Eurasian Harm Reduction Network, where work on drug policy had begun, she was working on the organization's project activities in Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Moldova and other Eastern European and Central Asian countries.

Morgana was active in youth movements. She was the executive director of the international youth organization Youth RISE and the Youth Representative of the Civil Society Council on Drugs at the United Nations in Vienna. At the same time she founded Young Wave, a youth organization in Lithuania to work on healthcare focused drug policies.

At the same time, Morgana was active in her role as head of Methodological Department at the Republican Center for Addictive Disorders in Vilnius.

Morgana represents the young generation of Lithuanian politicians. For the last decade she has been focusing her activism and work on drug policy, infectious disease, reproductive health and women’s rights.
