New Resources on the Prototype of the European Cancer Survivor Smart Card
The smartCARE Consortium, led by the European Cancer Organisation (ECO), has unveiled two important resources for its new Smart Card prototype, a mobile application designed to empower individuals living with and beyond cancer.
These publications offer a comprehensive look at the project's milestones, highlighting an in-depth, EU-wide user needs assessment and the development of the first version of the app prototype.
Key resources include:
• The Executive Summary Report: This document summarises key findings from the smartCARE project, details the scope of the current prototype, and describes some of the key recommendations.
• The smartCARE Final Blueprint (coming soon): This comprehensive report outlines the critical insights and final project recommendations gathered from Europe’s cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. It highlights the project’s patient-centric research, which included patient-led workshops, an extensive user needs survey, and initial prototype testing. By detailing each phase, the report emphasises the ongoing importance of collaborative input from all stakeholders.
• The Final Flyer: An engaging, easy-to-read overview of the smartCARE app’s four essential modules:
