In November 2024, the European Cancer Organisation (ECO) published its policy paper, ‘Women & Cancer: 12 million Reasons for Action!’. It underscores the failure of healthcare policies across Europe to adequately address the needs and conditions of women affected by cancer.

Ahead of International Women’s Day, ECO together with MEP Romana Jerković will host a high-level event at the European Parliament on 6 March. This will be an opportunity to discuss how best to strengthen the rights of millions of women in Europe who are either cancer patients or survivors.

These include:

  1. The Right to Access HPV Vaccination
  2. The Right to Access Screening
  3. The Right to Access Fertility Treatment
  4. The Right to Recognition of Your Carer Rights
  5. The Right to Fair and Equal Treatment in the Oncology Workforce

Policymakers, healthcare professionals, and patient advocates are encouraged to attend and engage in evidence-based discussions, share best practices, and explore policy solutions.

Register now!

Due to limited seating, attendance is restricted to 50 participants. We appreciate your understanding.
