In November of last year, the smartCARE project launched its user-needs survey to inform the design of an innovative new application for cancer survivors and caregivers, and how to manage their daily challenges.
The survey exceeded expectations, as responses far outpaced the 1,000 goal, [reaching over 1,100 individual responses] by the end of March. This would not have possible without the strong cooperation and dissemination efforts of the community, which the team would like to warmly thank.
Its translation into 18 languages facilitated a wide range of respondents that spanned more than 39 countries, representing various age groups, cancer types, and life stories. The data will be critical in informing the final recommendations to the commission and ensuring cancer survivors and caregivers remain the ones driving the vision of the app.
