The European Association for Palliative Care’s blog turns 12 this month!

26 January 2024

Since 2012 the EAPC has published 1,262 blogs, which have had a total of more than one million views by more than half-a-million readers from 229 countries around the world.

The EAPC blog publishes engaging, thought-provoking articles and provides a weekly online platform to share best practice palliative care in Europe and beyond. Palliative care is an integral part of cancer care, and it is World Health Organization Europe’s focus for this year’s World Cancer Day. We are pleased that the EAPC blog plays such an important role in sharing palliative care information, research, policy, and advocacy.

Professor Mark Taubert, EAPC’s Vice President comments on this significant milestone:

‘This remarkable achievement is only possible because of the generosity of the palliative care community, who write for the blog to share their perspectives, research and clinical practice.  The blog also has a great editorial team, who peer review each blog, ensuring that high quality content is published.  On behalf of the EAPC board, I want to say a huge thank you to all our authors, the editorial team… and to you, our readers, for making the EAPC blog such a trusted and informative resource.’
