The European Cancer Organisation encourages constant vigilance to workplace safety and conditions.

For the new EU Strategic Framework on Health and Safety at Work 2021-27, we have called for attention to occupational health and safety matters with relevance to cancer, such as:

• Healthcare professionals’ exposure to hazardous drugs, such as cytotoxics
• The personal and patient safety impacts of over-working on health professionals
• Outdoor worker exposure to UV radiation
• The return-to-work needs of cancer patients and survivors
