Showcase Event - 17 November 2023

On 17 November, the day after the European Cancer Summit 2023, we hosted the INTERACT-EUROPE showcase event Pioneering the Future of Inter-Specialty Cancer Education: Breaking down barriers and uniting expertise.

The INTERACT-EUROPE showcase event was a dynamic forum for consortium members and other stakeholders where together we shaped the future of inter-specialty cancer training in Europe. 

This event brought together leading oncology experts, educators, policy makers, and politicians to both celebrate the achievements of INTERACT-EUROPE and plan future steps for the EU's inaugural Inter-Specialty Cancer Training Programme (ISCTP). The agenda included a deep dive into the development of the Inter-Specialty Cancer Training curriculum, presenting key insights from the first cohort of trainees, and a detailed review of cross-language tranlation technology for oncology professionals. It also addressed policy recommendations and sustainability models for inter-specialty cancer training. The event concluded with an overview of the next phase of the ISCTP, with training set to expand to 100 cancer centres across Europe. 

The event was held at the Radisson Collection Hotel in Brussels and was available to join virtually. Check the programme here.
