This session will discuss key advances in the field of early detection of cancer through novel testing technologies. We will cover innovations with both tumour-specific and pan-tumour approaches.

16:05-16:35 EU Level Screening Initiatives: What Have we Learned so Far
This session will review the progress made since the 2003 EU Council Recommendations on Cancer Screening with examination of the case studies of Breast and Colorectal cancer. Lessons will be extracted for the future EU Cancer Screening Scheme envisaged as part of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
